Eye colour: Magenta.

Hair colour: Black with magenta streaks.

Distinguishing physical features: My skin glows with the light of the moon, soft as a flower's petal, and my eyes shine with the light of the stars, as I am bound to them. I have a star-shaped birthmark upon my left hand, which is a distinguishing mark of the Marisu.

Species: I am one of the Marisu, a little-known division of the Elves of Imladris. They are the fairest, wisest, and most skillful of all of the Elves of Middle-earth.

Unusual talents/abilities: I am able to forsee bits and pieces of the future when I stare into the night sky, and I can become invisible at will. I am a skilled swordfighter and archer - I rival the legendary talent of my husband, Legolas Greenleaf. I can see through walls and doors, and crush rock with my bare hands, athough I do not do so often, because it irritates my delicate skin. I can also tranform into an asphodel blossom if I need to hide.

Special posessions: A silver bow given to me by Galadriel of Lothlorien when I passed through there with the Fellowship, and a silver ring upon the index finger of my left hand. It is the Ring of the Skies, and binds me to the moon and stars, from which I receive my powers.

History or origins (at least a paragraph): Asphodelwyn Marisulien was not always Asphodelwyn Marisulien. Once upon a time, she was a normal girl, by the name of Maryanna-Susanna. But those were long years ago.

Asphodelwyn was born into dark times, dark times indeed. She was one of the Marisu, a special race of elves born with extraordinary powers. They were bound to the stars and flowers, which gave them their powers. But an evil elf by the name of Darkus Akonitus had learned their one weakness, and began to destroy them out of jealousy.

Asphodelwyn's mother, Acaciawyn Marisulien decided that there had to be a way to save her daughter from this persecution. One dark and stomy night, she brought her to Lord Elrond, and begged of him to protect her daughter. Lord Elrond agreed to protect her, and Acaciawyn, along with her husband Amaranthoden Martistulien, went off to fight Darkus Akonitus. That night, they were both killed, making Asphodelwyn the last pure Marisu on all of Middle-earth.

Lord Elrond devised a way to save Asphodelwyn from persecution. He gave her the name Maryanna-Susanna and sent her into the future, where she would live peacefully, until a time came when she would be summoned to Imladris to take her place in her rightful world.

Many years passed, and when Asphodelwyn was seventeen years old, she was summoned to Imladris by Lord Elrond to lead the Fellowship of the Ring to Mordor to destroy the Ring of Power. At first, Asphodelwyn was not accepting of her powers, not understanding how she could possess them. But after careful training from Legolas Greenleaf of Mirkwood (whom she fell in love with almost instantaneously), she fell into place, and led the Fellowship.

It was a rough journey for all ten of them, and it took a lot out of Asphodelwyn to keep them from breaking. But, her efforts to unify them were useless, and after the death of Boromir, the Fellowship split. By now, Asphodelwyn and Legolas' love had grown very strong, and it was very hard for them to part. She chose to help Frodo and Sam get to Mordor, and he chose to rescue Merry and Pippin. But they swore that they'd love each other forever, and when the war had ended, they would reunite and marry in Mirkwood.

After the War ended, they were reunited, and fulfilled their promise to each other. They now reside in Imladris, both very happy.
